MX-5 Miata NA 1.6 Intake - 7000RPM Runner
This intake is configured for 1989 through 1993 Mazda Miata B6 engines. Runners are selected to favor peak power with a target of 7000RPM for peak torque. Exact results will depend on your exact engine and build. This intake comes with a traditional style (forward-facing throttle body) 2.5L plenum.
This intake is fully O-Ring sealed including the head flange and throttle body interface. You don't need any additional gaskets to install on your engine. This manifold also only weighs under 8 pounds! Half of a stock Miata intake.
The Plenum has 6x -6 ORB ports for any vacuum or boost accessories you might need. Included fittings:
4x -6 ORB plugs
2x -6 ORB to 3/8" Barb fittings. These fittings are provided for PCV and break booster vacuum sources.
4x M6x35mm studs and M6 nuts are included for throttle body installation.
This manifold accepts all parts from our current and future intake manifold sandbox of parts. This means that it can be reconfigured with a different head flange (such as the Mazda Miata 1.8), runners tuned for different peak power, different plenum style and volume, and accept the independent throttle body adapter.
This intake is proudly designed, machined, and assembled in the USA in our small North Carolina shop using primarily US-sourced materials. We welcome customization discussions.
The intake has provisions for the following drive-by-wire throttle bodies:
76mm Ford/Mazda CA-01-13-640 (or cross-referenced PN) commonly used on Mazda CX9
71mm Ford DS7Z-9E926-D (or cross-referenced PN) commonly used on Ford 2.5L inline 4 engines from 2009 to 2025.
To run either of these throttle bodies, you'll need proper wiring provisions and a standalone ECU which supports drive-by-wire. Consult your ECU manufacturer and engine tuner for compatibility and installation.
If you'd like to use another throttle body, you'll need to purchase a dedicated adapter. Select that option at checkout or choose one on the throttle adapter page.
This intake is NOT for road use. It is NOT intended, designed, or certified to be used on any road vehicle.
